World Oceans Day- All ‘Black Inscription’ Proceeds Going to Ocean Preservation and Research

Jeremy Flower, Carla Kihlstedt, Matthias Bossi

Earlier this year, I had the distinct honor of interviewing Carla Kihlstedt (Rabbit Rabbit Radio, Tin Hat Trio, ex Sleepytime Gorilla Museum) about her latest project, a love letter to the ocean called Black Inscription, written with her husband and collaborator Matthias Bossi and composer Jeremy Flower. The final product was predictably brilliant and haunting. Well, Rabbit Rabbit Radio will be conducting a special sale today, and any purchases on their Bandcamp will be donated to ocean preservation and research. From their mailer:

Today, in honor of World Oceans Day, we are giving 100% of digital sales of the Black Inscription album on Bandcamp to oceanographic research and conservation.
That includes both the digital album ($7+) and the deluxe digital package ($22+), which contains 13 gorgeous drawings – 1 for each song – created for us by Lisa Carroll.

Pay $7 or add as many zeros to that as you like… We will donate every penny that comes in today to OCEANA.ORG and to THE WOODS HOLE OCEANOGRAPHIC INSTITUTION.

Please consider purchasing this album and contributing to this wonderful cause!
