Evership sailed into the progressive rock scene in 2016, with one of the strongest debuts I’ve ever heard. Their music is a dizzying combination of exceptional musicianship, strong and memorable melodies, and a sound that simultaneously retro and modern, reminiscent of progressive greats Kansas, Queen, and Yes. Since their debut album, they’ve released a follow up (the incredible Evership II, reviewed here), played at all of the major progressive rock festivals, and made waves all across the world.
After months of hard work, Evership is ready to share their new, ambitious record with the world: a double-album rock opera based on a literary work by Harold Bell Wright, called The Uncrowned King – Act 1. Evership graciously agreed to explain some of the themes and ideas that will be discussed on this new record, via an exclusive interview with Proglodytes site administrator Thomas Hatton.
