A year ago, we lost prog luminary John Wetton to cancer. His work with King Crimson, Asia, Roxy Music, and countless other acts will not be forgotten. Fernando Perdomo, solo artist and guitarist for the Dave Kerzner Band, has released a new tribute track on behalf of the Wetton family. Here is the press release.
Dave Kerzner Guitarist, Fernando Perdomo has recorded and released a cover of “Starless” by King Crimson completely performed on the Gizmotron. The haunting cover is in tribute to Wetton commemorating the 1 year anniversary of his passing. The song is also in tribute to Fernando’s Mom, Araceli Perdomo who’s birthday would have been the same day. Both John and Araceli passed away due to cancer so all proceeds of the single will go to build a new Macmillan Cares palliative care center near Bournemouth England. This charitable cause was chosen by John’s widow Lisa.
